News & Insights
Two Peregrine Falcons are currently nesting on the roof of The Blade. They have laid four eggs which are due to hatch in May. The pair previously nested on the roof back in 2022 when they successfully hatched three chicks.

Name the Peregrine Falcons
To celebrate the return of these incredible birds of prey, we’re holding a competition to name the two Peregrine Falcons. We’d like to find a name for each bird, so two winners will be chosen with a prize available for each.

To enter, please email Lucy Burt on lburt@northwoodre.co.uk with your name suggestions. Please submit your entries by 12pm on Wednesday 14th May. The winners will be chosen by our team and announced on Friday 16th May. We’ll share the Peregrine Falcon’s names on next week’s Reading BID email as well as on our Instagram channel which can be found here: https://www.instagram.com/thebladereading/.
