News & Insights
Choosing an event space which offers something of a "wow factor" can be tricky especially in an urban environment such as Reading. Attendees can be keen to experience something fresh, original and different, helping give them an extra reason to leave their desks or home office space to come and meet others, or join a seminar or conference.

The Penthouse on the 13th floor of The Blade is available as an event space helping provide a fantastic backdrop for any business occasion. It offers room for up to 200 standing attendees but can also be configured into seated conference space for up to 120 or roundtable meeting space for up to 75. With 360 degree views it provides stunning sights over the Thames Valley, River Kennet and across to the River Thames. To support your event we have an in-house team who can help signpost suppliers and options, working with you to ensure your catering choices are met and an exceptional attendee experience is provided.

Our location near Abbey Gardens offers easy access with fast rail links to London via the Elizabeth Line, as well as other overland options to the rest of the UK. There’s also plenty of car parking just a short walk away in Queens Road.

The Blade’s Penthouse event space was recently used to stunning effect by our occupier Altitude Angel who, together with Hatch Real Estate, hosted an afternoon presentation about the drone industry and Reading’s drone superhighway, followed by a networking session. Over X people attended enjoying a superb talk from the aerospace experts and the chance to see some fascinating drone footage of The Blade before an informal lunch.
